Your Perception Is Your Reality

‘But Peter said, “Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.”

And a voice spoke to him again the second time, “What God has cleansed you must not call common.”  This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again.’

– Acts 10: 14-16

Did you read yesterday’s daily devotional on Yes! You can? If not, please do.

The Norwegian exec could not see beyond his pre-conditioned prototype belief. He had gotten so used to a style of supermarkets, he forgot the real meaning of a market.

Many times we allow our environment, circumstances, conditions, traditions, life-experiences and age-old belief to frame our mindset so much we miss out on God.

Some schools of thought opined that; what people perceive is usually what they believe, and this is based on what they hear, see and think. Most of the time we cannot control what happens but we can always control our reactions.

This is why we need to be intentional and deliberate in our walk with God, so we don’t drift into unbelief and self-help.

Many times it’s not that our prayers are not been answered but we feel uncomfortable when the answer is served in an unusual way.

Our pallets have been conditioned so much we find it difficult to taste other delicacies.

We ask for money while God seeks to open a door to scholarship. We seek a medical plan while God wants us to enjoy divine healing.

Beloved, don’t let your faith walk be conditioned by your physical reality but by the revelation knowledge of the word of God.

Someone said, “ Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.”

When you begin to see your life through the window of what God says about you, you will not be tossed to and fro by the different winds and seasons.
You will neither be proud in a season of abundance nor downcast in a season of scarcity. Rather, the joy of the Lord will be your strength and your reality will be the will of God.

Daily renew your belief in God’s word, change your perception about life and you will experience the reality God has for you.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for revealing your will and mind to me through the Bible. Thank you for the Holy Spirit that brings the light of revelation to your word.
Today, I pull down every stronghold of unbelief, tradition, accumulated the wrong experiences that has held me down in one form or the other. I take every thought captive in obedience to the word of God. I am a priest and king in God’s kingdom and living in dominion is my reality.
In Jesus Name I pray
