When Preparation Meets Opportunity
“Private victories precede public victories [accolades]”
– Stephen R. Covey
Everyone today that you see truly successful in public glare has paid the price several times over in his ‘closet’.
Whether it’s the legendary football icons Messi or Ronaldo or those of any other competitive sports at that.
One soccer player once boasted “I cannot speak for my opponent but I sure know I will not miss any kick”. Those who say such things have done quite some private work that is reflected when they are then put on the world’s stage and under the spotlight.
No true success comes cheap.
People in the creative arts know this quite well. It requires many harrowing hours in unfailing rehearsals just to be able to get a dance right or even put up a sterling performance.
So then if your reputation must show up before the world you have to be willing to ‘pain down’ in your own private time where and when no one is watching!
We all need to continue to have that private conversation with our-self!
Success occurs when preparation meets opportunity!
Ephesians 4:9-10 NIV
“…(What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions?
10 He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) “
Dear Lord help me to learn that vital lesson that to ascend I must first descend! That to live in the spirit I must first die to the works of the flesh! Help me to continue to pay the price to walk with you in the light of life that is in Christ Jesus alone! Amen
