The Secret To A Successful Life
‘Constantly remind the people about these laws, and you yourself must think about them every day and every night so that you will be sure to obey all of them. For only then will you succeed’
– Joshua 1:8 (TLB)
One goal in life that seems to have everyone aiming at it is to be successful. I’ve not met anyone that wants to be a failure. However, there is possibly a different interpretation of the state of being successful. Who can better describe success than the creator of life Himself?
Joshua just stepped into leadership, he took over after the transition of the highly revered Prophet Moses, the man that stood up to mighty Pharaoh, parted the Red Sea and received the law straight from God’s handwriting. How can one match up to such a resume and standard?
Furthermore, the journey through the wilderness has been tough and rough but finally, the promised land is within reach, and there is excitement doused with fear.
Maybe you too have toiled and labored all year long, probably you have your eyes set on certain objectives and it looks so close yet far.
Or you have an idea and you don’t seem to know the next step to take so you don’t bungle the opportunity. Or you just got a promotion and the terrain is looking tough and uncharted. Maybe you are growing grey hairs trying hard to succeed at life.
You should stop scheming about developing the right strategy, meeting the right person or getting the right connection. The Lord owns the earth and has all the answers. I repeat He alone has all the answers.
Read Acts 8: 26-28 “Later God’s angel spoke to Philip: “At noon today I want you to walk over to that desolate road that goes from Jerusalem down to Gaza.” He got up and went. He met an Ethiopian eunuch coming down the road. The eunuch had been on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem and was returning to Ethiopia, where he was minister in charge”.
Philip, a relatively unknown individual met with the powerful high ranking Ethiopian leader by simply obeying the leading of the Holy Ghost!
Beloved, do not neglect or despise what is in you; The Holy Ghost.
The Supreme Power of God, to whom belong this dispensation and season, resides in you.
You must learn and master how to listen, trust and obey his leading. You will be amazed at how far He is willing to take you, if only you will learn to let Him take the lead.
A moment of counsel in Christ’s wisdom is far more powerful than thousands of strategy sessions.
Esteem the Holy Spirit and the word of God highly, so you can live a fruitful and truly successful life always.
Lord, I thank You that You want my family and me to prosper and be in health even as our souls prosper because we are Your children. We know that as we study, follow and obey Your Word, we will succeed in all we do. Each of us is like a tree planted along the riverbank, bearing good fruit each season.
We know that You give us the power to be successful in all You’ve called us to do. We trust You when You promise to bring sinners’ wealth to us because we know that You receive pleasure when we, Your servants, prosper.
We know that You won’t withhold any good thing from us and that Your blessing makes us, the righteous, rich. And we praise You for all You are doing in and through us!
In Jesus Christ Name I pray. Amen.
