The Point of Life…
‘You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.’
—Psalm 32:7 NKJV
It happens before my feet ever touch the floor. Each morning, as the sun creeps through the cracks in the shade, my thoughts turn towards the day that lies ahead. And I give it to God.
I could have it no other way. God is in charge and in total control. While I make plans and engagements that make sense to me, He is the one who ultimately directs my path.
For me, this is the joy of knowing Jesus: to know that He holds all the events of my life in His hand. I only need to turn to Him in the details of my day to know where He wants me to go and what He has for me to do.
It is in these quiet moments before the day begins that He fills me with His peace and His guidance, and replenishes my soul with His love.
This is the point of life. To know our Creator. To glorify Him by enjoying Him—forever.
And to touch another life through our families, our neighbors, and in every moment of life we celebrate. What a blessing we have as His children to begin that road of understanding, even while we are here on this earth.
And we get a tiny glimpse of the glory He has in store for those who look to Him to lead them home.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for delivering me from slavery to sin and making me your child, a slave to righteousness.
Help me to obey from the heart the pattern of teaching that is alive to God through Jesus Christ. I am no longer a slave to sin, I am a child of God.
I offer every part of me as instrument of righteousness.
In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
