“Awake, awake, put on strength and might, O arm of the Lord; Awake as in the ancient days, as in the generations of long ago. Was it not You who cut Rahab (Egypt) in pieces, Who pierced the dragon [of Egypt]?”
– Isaiah 51:9 (AMP)
I remember around this time last year, this word of the Lord came to us so strongly as an assembly. Little could we imagine how so desperately we will need the supernatural, outstretched arm of God in our restoration this year.
And have we seen His outstretched arm in action? Oh Yes! In very many diverse ways. If not for this mighty arm, we would have been distressed. The outstretched arm is indeed awake over our affairs as an assembly.
Dear beloved, this same outstretched arm of God is very much active and awake to help you too if only you will believe and sincerely cry out for His intervention.
The Yoruba word, ‘Olowogbogboro’ means the one with a mighty outstretched arm.
Who else has an outstretched arm that is mighty to save and yet soft enough to comfort? No one else except the Almighty God, the creator of all, Our King, Your Father, and My Father.
God is still saying that He is ready to stretch out His hand into every and any situation in the life of His children.
In fact, God dares us, His children to beckon on His arm to intervene in all affairs of our lives. God’s arm is literally ‘itchy’ in our favor. He is ready to pounce with angelic intervention and swift action.
Remember the song;
…Aka aka ya, (The arm of the Lord)
Aka Jehovah na’eme mma (The arm of the Lord does great things)…
Beloved, it’s not seasonal, it’s not old or stale. The arm of God is active and able.
As you step out this day and week, one thing you must never forget is that God’s outstretched arm is ready to turn things around for your good.
This arm is so strong and so powerful. But it is only available on request, yes that is the protocol, you must ask with open mouth, and tenacity of faith. God loves to honor invites!
Are you in need of restoration?
Are you hungry for more of God?
Are you tired of the ordinary and mundane?
Then beseech the Olowogbogboro to awake with strength on your behalf.
Awake, awake, put on strength and might, O arm of the Lord; Awake as in the ancient days, as in the generations of long ago. So that I the redeemed of the Lord will return, And come with joyful shouting to your presence; Everlasting joy will be on my head.
I will obtain gladness and joy, And sorrow and sighing are far from me today and forever.
In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
