What’s In It For Me (W-I-F-M)
“The biggest mistakes we could ever make in our lives is to think we work for anybody but ourselves.”
– Brian Tracy.
The legendary Dr. Myles Munroe once quipped the truth that what an employment offers is a golden opportunity for self-development and self-improvement. While you work, the organization takes responsibility to make you a better person so that your mental contribution can best enhance their bottom line.
A job offers you access to everything the organization has: including knowing how to build clienteles, leverage on business contacts, exposure to regular training for self-development apart from learning how business systems and processes are developed and oiled.
Ultimately a well-schooled employee wins himself a certificate for a great life and career.
Maybe someday in the future, it is employees who would have to remunerate the employer and not the other way round.
I tell anyone who cared to listen that till date how I write my ‘winner’ corporate letters was from a template of the last place I worked before I left to start my own enterprise.
There is something for your next level where you presently are!
Luke 16:11-12 NIV
“So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches
And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?”
Dear Lord, please adjust my heart to selfless service. Deliver me from eye-service. Help me to focus joyfully on my assignment where I work till I reap all the harvest in this season of my life. I receive a new attitude of faithful stewardship in Jesus’ Name! Amen.
