Instagram post 2191989838718012753_1583347685 Time To Seek The Lord ...For it is time to seek the Lord, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you.
- Hosea 10:12 (NKJV)

God has this habit of waiting until the very last moment to answer our prayer to see if we will chicken out or pray through.

This pattern of a last-second provision is repeated throughout Scripture, and I think it reveals God’s playful personality. Sometimes we are so focused on the character of God that we forget that God has a personality too.

He loves hiding around corners and surprising us. You can’t convince me that Jesus didn’t have fun sneaking up on the disciples in the middle of the night in the middle of the lake by walking on water. You can’t convince me that God didn’t enjoy the befuddled look on Moses’ face when he heard the talking bush.

As I read Scripture, I can come to no other conclusion than this: God loves showing up in unexpected ways at unexpected times.

I love this part of God’s personality. While it sometimes adds stress, it also adds drama. In big and small ways, it is prayer that adds the unexpected twists and turns in our personal plotlines that make life worth living.

It is prayer that precipitates and culminates in the climatic moments when God shows up in dramatic fashion.

It is prayer that can turn any story, your story, into an epic drama.

God provides just enough just in time. He did it with the widow who is down to her last jar of olive oil. He did it when the Israelites are trapped between the Egyptian army and the Red Sea. He did it when the boat is about to capsize on the Sea of Galilee because of hurricane-force winds.

Maybe you’re in a desperate situation right now. It feels like you’re down to your last jar of olive oil, or the Egyptian army is closing in on you, or your boat is about to capsize.

It may seem like God is nowhere to be seen, but maybe God is setting the stage for a miracle.

This I know for sure: God is always stage right. He’s ready to make His grand entrance. All He is waiting for is your prayer cue.

Beloved stay locked in on His promises, He will prove true and you will experience the breakthrough.

Instagram post 2191265058968686541_1583347685 The Job of Thanksgiving ' With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the rest of those chosen and designated by name to give thanks to the Lord, “for his love endures forever.” '
- 1 Chronicles 16:41 (NIV)

Perhaps you’ve never heard of these two men; they’re among the Bible’s more obscure characters. Yet their role was paramount.

In the great worship choirs of King David, they were appointed to give thanks. Jeduthun and Heman “were under the authority of the king,” says 1 Chronicles 25:6. And they were designated by name to give thanks. It was their job!

Giving thanks is our job too. We’re under the authority of a King who commands:

Be thankful… Offer to God thanksgiving… Come before His presence with thanksgiving… Enter into His gates with thanksgiving… In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.— Colossians 3:15; Psalm 50:14; Psalm 95:2; Psalm 100:4; 1 Thessalonians 5:18, respectively

This is one of God’s commands for healthy living. The Creator of the soul is the Master Psychologist. He knows that giving of thanks is not only appropriate but therapeutic.

It’s hard to be both thankful and, at the same time, grumpy, cantankerous, critical, or ill-tempered.

Be a Heman. Be a Jeduthun.

We are appointed by the King to praise His name and to thank Him every day.

PRAYER CONFESSION

Dear God Almighty, the creator of all. Thank you for a new day. Thank you for provision from my birth till now and even until all times. Thank you for protection from harm, preservation from evil and deliverance from danger. Thank you for life itself. Your praise will always be on my lips in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Dearly Beloved, Last Prayer and Fasting for the year 2019 begins today, Wednesday, December 4 to Friday, December 6.

Then we meet on Sat. 7th Dec. at the Prophetic Healing Service to round off the prayer. Time:7am.

Instagram post 2190863012197715029_1583347685 It is easier for us to pray when we are going through a tough patch or facing a storm. If care is not taken, we may limit prayer to only challenging times whereas we are supposed to pray whether the times are good, exciting, smooth, rough, bad or stormy.

Whether we are buoyant financially or not, whether our business or career is smooth sailing or not, whether we are in bliss or drought, these are all temporal situations, we must never lose focus of eternal values and rewards.

For what will it profit a man (woman) if he (she) gains the whole world, and loses his (her) own soul? - Matthew 16, 26, Mark 8:36

Beloved, as you begin the last month of this calendar year 2019, you need to create that time, that place and moment of you and the Holy Spirit on a regular basis. Your life depends on it. Your eternity depends on it.

Indeed as a child of God, it is the most important time of your life. More important than your business, career, finance, or any other activity.
PRAYER CONFESSION

Dear Heavenly Father, I acknowledge you as my source, Lord and Master. I thank you for translating me into your kingdom. Help me never to drift from your presence. Help me to keep the focus on eternity and not be consumed by temporal needs and wants.
I receive grace to have a me-time alone with the Holy Spirit on a regular consistent basis. I receive grace to be a person of prayer no matter my personal experiences. In Jesus Name Amen

Instagram post 2190540276954308381_1583347685 Hannah's Request 'Hannah prayed and said: “My heart rejoices in the LORD… I rejoice in Your salvation.”'
- 1 Samuel 2:1

When have you really wanted something? We all know what it feels like to long for something desperately, for something, such as a life-giving job, a significant other, a repaired relationship, a sense of purpose, or a friend to connect with.

In the Bible, Hannah desired something with every fiber of her being — a child — and this yearning caused her deep pain. The Bible says Hannah finally went to the temple to seek the Lord’s help.

There she
prayed… and wept in anguish. — 1 Samuel 1:10

You may know how the story goes. When Eli the priest saw her pray, he accused her of being drunk. Hannah explained she was full of sorrow, not wine: [I] have poured out my soul before the LORD… Out of the abundance of my complaint and grief I have spoken. — 1 Samuel 1:15–16

Taken aback, Eli then blessed Hannah and asked the Lord to grant her request.

Eventually, Hannah got her happy ending: a son, then five more children. I agree with you now that just like Hannah, you too will get a happy, happy ending in Jesus' Name. Amen

When you deeply long for something and pour out your heart to God, do you finish with gratitude, knowing He hears you?
Or do you wait till you receive?

Have you prayed? Have you rendered your heart to the Lord?

Then, Be thankful, for the God of all creation has heard your prayers, just as He heard Hannah’s. And you will end with joy too just like Hannah.

PRAYER CONFESSION

Dear Father, I rejoice that you hear my words of prayer. I rejoice in Your gifts and answers even as I wait for the physical manifestation. Thank You for all You send my way. Thank you for your love and faithfulness. Thank you for always hearing and acting on my prayers. My heart rejoices in you, I rejoice in your salvation.
In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

Instagram post 2189815499218418071_1583347685 Alone With God

But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.
- Luke 5:16 (NIV)

We live in a very demanding, active and busy world. However, we must deliberately and intentionally lead our lives with eternity in view always.

Many times at work, we create time for business reviews especially during the year-end activities or even monthly/weekly review meetings. Sometimes we go on a business retreat to reflect on the state of our enterprise. Even in personal finance, the monthly bank statement of account reminds us of the need to reflect on our expenses and income.

There are also many apps that help track how healthy our heart is, how many calories we’ve added or lost in our weight management regimen, how many books we’ve read and so much more.

In all this, do we really track how far we are in the faith? Do we regularly monitor the state of our relationships with God first and others? What is the progress report of your prayer life?
How aligned are you with the mind and purpose of God for your life?
How many souls have you pointed to christ in a definite way? and generally how much fire for Christ do you have in your bones?

You need to find a time, maybe a corner or chair in your house that is a ME Place. A place for you alone, you alone with God.

Sit down one on one with the Holy Spirit. A time of reflection, to ask the Holy Spirit about the state of your Christian journey.

If care is not taken, we may limit prayer to only challenging times whereas we are supposed to pray whether the times are good, exciting, smooth, rough, bad or stormy.

Whether we are buoyant financially or not, whether our business or career is smooth sailing or not, these are all temporal situations, we must never lose focus of eternal values and rewards.
