Revelation Brings Elevation

‘Then Daniel returned to his house and explained the matter to his friends Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. He urged them to plead for mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that he and his friends might not be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven.” ‘
– Daniel 2:17-19 (NIV)

The headlines are as scary as ever, it seems life is in cycles and things are getting worse. So says the press. And with the high cost of living, the hazards of doing business, escalating violence all over, insensitive political gladiators and so on, it seems everything is heading for a collapse.

Beloved, in all these things, lift up your head and look up, help is available.

I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 121:1-2)

Looking at the scenario in the book of Daniel,
“The President (King) must be mean to ask citizens to proffer solutions to a problem caused by poor economic management.” Some popular commentators will say.

“Government is clearly insensitive and self-serving?
a lot of people will say.

Most people speak from a position of hopelessness, not recognizing that there is a God in heaven that rules in the affairs of men.

Daniel and his friends seized the moment (in chapter 2). They didn’t whine, rather they lifted up their heads to the heavens and received help from God.

They saved themselves and a whole generation from being wasted. They cooperated with God to create a new order from the threshold of chaos.

Knowledge is no longer enough, it takes divine revelation to prosper in the time of crisis and gross darkness.

Revelation, the place of elevated sight will make you live above recession and do great exploits.

There was a famine in the land,… Then the Lord appeared to him and said… Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you;… Then Isaac sowed (deployed his skills) in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold, and the Lord blessed him. (- Genesis 26:1-12 paraphrased)

The way out is to live in continuous communion with the Holy Spirit and take everything to God in prayer.

Don’t look down, don’t wallow in complaints and stop playing the blame game. Stop meditating on how difficult things are but rather lift up your head to the mountaintop.

Look at the prophetic word and stay in the faith field. Meditate on the promises of the scriptures and engage the power of the Holy Spirit.

In Jesus Name I declare, I have the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ. My eyes of understanding are flooded with light by the Holy Spirit. I arise in faith and turn defeat and losses into great victories and success to the glory of God. Amen.
