Sing For Joy

“Sing for joy, you heavens, for the Lord has done this; shout aloud, you earth beneath. Burst into song, you mountains, you forests and all your trees, for the Lord has rdeemed Jacob, he displays his glory in Israel.” – Isaiah 44:23

Now declare this verse again and this time, insert your name where Jacob and Israel are.

Can you feel everything around you celebrating because of the work of grace and mercy that is going on in your life? No wonder Jesus said in Luke 15:10: “Likewise, I say to you, there is (great) joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repents (or changes his mind)”.

When God moves in on a life, all of creation stands in awe, even Angels, wondering at what the finished product will be. Murderers are turned to preachers, evil men become great fathers and even prostitutes become part of Christ’s lineage (referring to Rahab).

Angels are amazed at God’s love towards us, and they constantly try to understand what is going on (1 Pet 1:12 …- things angels desire to look into. ).

Trees break out in wave offerings, birds sing away in praise, the wind howls out the wonder of a Great God that would seek out small men….everything in nature rejoices at the work of God…everything except man…who remains head bowed, complaining, grumbling, unhappy, not seeing God at work, but taking careful note of everything Satan is doing.

Can we be like all of creation and break out in faith inspired praise? Or would you that the Lord raise up stones in your place to praise Him? (Matt 3:9 … For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones).

Let us learn to be thankful for all God has done, and for all He will yet do. Let us give Him an upfront-payment of praise. Let it feel like He is “owing us”, and see if He will not repay.

“Lend” Him praise in advance as commanded by Scripture and believe…For he that “…lends to the LORD, the Lord will repay him again” (Proverbs 19:17).

Come let us join all creation to celebrate what God is doing in our lives, whether we see them all or not!

The Lord God is the Almighty, Master of the Universe, conqueror and King. I will praise Him from everlasting to everlasting. I will open up my mouth, And He will fill it with praise. I will magnify His name, The name that stands above all names, Jesus now and always Amen.
