God Plays No Favorites (Part 2)
– Acts 10:35 (THE VOICE)
We started pondering on Acts 10 yesterday, with Peter’s bold revelation that God has no favorites. But this strong assertion has a basis or premise.Let us move a bit further to verse 35 “…But in every nation…” Stop for a moment. Can Peter be saying that God is at work in “every Nation?” Yes He is!
The phrase “…every Nation…” actually interprets as “ethnic groups” and not countries, meaning that what Peter was about to say is relevant to every ethnic language group. “But in every ethnic group, the person who fears God and does what is right is acceptable and welcomed by Him”!
So favor, blessing, victory, promotion, increase, dominion, excellence and all the bounties of grace are accessible to anyone from anywhere who fears the Lord and does what is right!
Are you a believer? Do you fear the Lord, doing what is right as much as you are led to? Then God cannot be partial against you. He does not favor your brother above you!
We all have access to God! You must get it out of your mind that one person is better than you or more favored than you. No. This is unscriptural. We all have equal access to the “…riches of His glorious Inheritance…” (Eph 1:8).
If you believe this then you know that whatever the blessing that one man has received, you too can also receive.
If only you believe and do “what is right”.
Dear God, I celebrate your love and faithfulness towards me. I ask that you grant me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ. That my eyes of understanding be enlightened that I may know the hope of your calling, the riches of the glory of your inheritance in the saints and the exceeding greatness of your power towards me who believe. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
