Provoke A Blessing
“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse, and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
– Genesis 12:3 (NIV)
God had just promised Abraham that He would make him a great nation. This promise is one we all lay hold on to even as the Church finds her place in covenant blessings.
Immediately after this promise, we find a divine reference to blessings and curses. This tells me that there is a powerful role that blessings and curses play in our quest for greatness.
Wise destiny builders affiliate with prophets who constantly proclaim a blessing upon them (Genesis 27:4- “Prepare me the kind of tasty food I like and bring it to me to eat, so that I may give you my blessing before I die.”)
The right blessing on the tongue of the right person to me will avail much. So be careful to secure the blessings of anointed people. One of the chief ways to do this is by service.
You must step out of our comfort zone and serve others (especially with your gift). Our parents, Ministers of the LORD, the elderly, the weak, the disadvantaged, etc must be encouraged and uplifted by our actions.
Doing good always provokes a blessing.
Forgiving offenses and bearing no grudges is another way to provoke God’s blessing and so also is giving to the Lord’s work and to the poor.
The amazing thing about all this is that people our acts have blessed will proclaim a blessing on us through confession, goodwill, prayers and positive action, God, in turn, blesses and promotes them. So our actions benefit and prosper our communities.
This is how to provoke miracles.
Let’s all jointly provoke the Lord’s blessings around us by doing good and let us see if He will not keep His side of the bargain. Proverbs 10:22– The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it.
In Jesus Name I declare I am blessed. Whoever blesses me is blessed, and whoever curses me is cursed. The blessings of God will bring me wealth without any pain or sorrow. The blessing of God is upon my life. Amen.
