Guilty Or Not Guilty

Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior].
– Romans 8:1 (AMP)

In a civil court, there are two possible pleas that can be entered by an accused. Guilty or Not Guilty.

After much deliberation and argument by both lawyers/advocates stating and presenting their cases, the Judge is expected by law to give a verdict. He either proclaims the man on the stand Guilty or Not Guilty of the charges leveled against him.

Now the verse above declares that for the believer the judge has only one possible verdict to consider ‘NOT GUILTY!”

Why? Because Christ has already taken our place and received the punishment for our guilt long before we were arraigned for trial.

No wonder the Bible declares in Psalm 32:2 “Blessed is the one whose sin the LORD does not count against them…”

Beloved, if you have placed your trust in the finished work of Christ, if you are sincerely Born Again, you have a lot to be grateful for.

Jesus has taken a guilty plea on your behalf. He has borne the full measure of God’s wrath for your sin and now the Father has no need to count your sin against you. It has been counted against His Son and not you! Hallelujah.

You can live free, well, saved, healed, prosperous, and holy, knowing that your burden has been lifted by God’s Only Son!

Share this with everyone around you that they may experience the same joy you have right now!
