” Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
– Psalm 23:4 (NIV)
The above statement would have amounted to an empty boast if it hadn’t been anchored on the fact of God’s presence.
Evil is real in this world; fear-inducing evil. But greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.
When God is by our side, fear takes flight.
We also enjoy His guidance and instructions because of the proximity we share.
While the world is bound by a hell of fear, we enjoy great peace and great confidence in the presence of our God. What blessedness! What security!
In Jesus’ Name, I declare I have a Good Shepherd, I do not grope about in darkness. By reason of God’s presence in my life, evil is banished, fear is quelled and safety is assured. No evil will come near my dwelling! Amen.
