Believe The Promise
“Then the word of the Lord came to him: “This man will not be your heir, but a son who is your own flesh and blood will be your heir.” He took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness.”
– Genesis 15:4-6
There are two essential ingredients needed for a Mountain Top lifestyle;
First, we all need a word of promise. Scripture is full of all kinds of promises which we all can lay hold of. God simply fills His Word with powerful promises for His people, yet it is possible to (you need to) press in a little further to obtain very specific promises for each of us as individuals.
Whichever way you stand, bottom line is that the mountain top life is that of taking promises from the Lord seriously. So you need to hold tight to the promises.
The second thing we need is faith! Faith in the simplest of terms is full confidence that God can do what He has said He will do.
In these few verses you will see that Abraham had both. He received the promise of the Lord and He believed God.
Faith reflects our attitude towards God’s character.
Just like we know people who make empty promises to us and we have learnt never to pay them attention or act on their promises, when we choose not to believe God we simply express to Him knowingly or not our doubts of His Power.
So, can you partake in the Mountain Top experience? Definitely! The question now is this – what promise are you running with? And how much of God do you really truly trust and believe.
Dear Lord, I believe in miracles. I believe you have called me to the Mountain Top life. I believe your word of promise as revealed to me in the scriptures and through your prophets. I will experience miracles, abundance, advance, release, favour and elevation this year in Jesus Name. Amen
