But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said,“why did you doubt?”
– John 14:30-31
It’s a great feeling to know that we can run to the Lord in our time of crisis. Even much more encouraging is that the Lord immediately stretches forth His hand to save Peter before chiding him.
The Lord is never glad at the failure, death or destruction of anyone. Sometimes our stubbornness, lack of faith and selfishness gets in the way of our success, but each time we sincerely call on the Lord He hears.
Are you in a situation now? Just call on Him. The enemy may want you to feel too unworthy or unqualified to call; That is the voice of “religion”. He came for those that have issues…so don’t disqualify yourself…call on him.
Call Him now before it’s too late. I know you may feel overwhelmed or quite busy, but take a moment and pray this under your breath, “Dear Lord help me! Dear Lord save me” . Open your heart and yield the situation to God, and then wait (patience plus faith) to see what the Lord will do.
Dear Lord! My help is in your name. I call upon the Lord and He hears me. I am lifted out of the miry clay of confusion, stagnancy and seated me upon the rock of righteousness, peace and joy. The Lord my God is mighty to save now and forever more in Jesus Name. Amen.Amen.
