A Word For You

For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
– Isaiah 55:10-11 (NKJV)

Don’t you just love this amazing God! Stop and read that verse again.

God wants you and I to fully understand and appreciate how His Word works, so He chose to compare His word with the rains. Everyone can relate with this.

Rain droplets come down from the skies (though with different degrees of intensity). It waters the earth and by that action, the weather cools, plants grow, seeds are provided (Continuity) and also bread (Sustenance) to the eater (beyond the farmer who planted the seed). Interesting you will agree but guess what? So is God’s Word!

Word

Word

This implies that if it is a word from the Lord it will and must provide something to sustain you for the moment and something you can plant for the future.

God never acts just for one day. He provides a “rolling-over” transgenerational type of blessing. He doesn’t begin and abandons His project halfway; No, not at all.

But my concern is this, what you claim to be holding on to, is it His Word to You/your situation? Or are you running with another person’s prophecy?

God’s Word is a messenger, It is sent, and will prosper only where it was sent.

One sure word that I know God says to you is inZachariah 1:17 –

“Again proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “My cities shall again spread out through prosperity; The Lord will again comfort Zion, And will again choose Jerusalem.”’”

So go ahead in faith and confidence to pray these rain droplets into your life with intensity. Like the rain, it will enter into the earth and bring you into fruitfulness, sustenance, continuity, and joy.

It is your year of restoration of all things.

PRAYER CONFESSION

Dear Father God, I ask that you show me great and mighty things from your word. Grant unto me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation knowledge. Flood my eyes of understanding with the light of your word. Let your word prevail in my life. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
