What Manner of God Is This?

“I took you through the wilderness for forty years and through all that time the clothes on your backs didn’t wear out, the sandals on your feet didn’t wear out, and you lived well…proving to you that I am in fact God, your God”.
– Deuteronomy 29:5-6

Some Bible stories are simply amazing. No wonder Scripture teaches us that faith comes by hearing God’s Word. Whose faith would not be revived from such a profound testimony of grace as found in our scripture reading for today?

Imagine the harsh wilderness weather, the scorching heat, the dry winds and the normal impact of wear and tear to anything in its path. Imagine the children growing from infants to toddlers and then young adults! Yet on the Children of Israel up to their clothing, it had no effect!

How could this be? Simply the Grace of God!
You can’t but wonder, What manner of God is this?

In spite of the murmurings and grumblings of these people! He still blankets them with mercy and grace. Just think about this for a moment.

Can your situation possibly be as dire as that of the Israelites?
If God could keep His people for 40 years, then He will keep you through your trials, no matter what they are.

The challenges of life will surely not consume you. This will not be by your strength, rather because of God’s grace.

Lamentations 3:22 “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end”.

So meditate on the depth of grace, mercy, and love that is available to you today! See the immense resource.

This is how Apostle Paul puts it, “And I pray that you and all God’s holy people will have the power to understand the greatness of Christ’s love—how wide, how long, how high, and how deep that love is. Christ’s love is greater than anyone can ever know, but I pray that you will be able to know that love. Then you can be filled with everything God has for you”. (Ephesians 3:18-19)

In Jesus Name I declare, I and the people of God in my community will have the power to understand the greatness of Christ’s love, the width, length, height and depth of His unfailing love. Our eyes of understanding are enlightened to be able to know the love of Christ. May we all be filled with everything God has for us today and always. Amen.
