Your Best Years Are Not Over
“Joseph was thirty years old when he entered the service of Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from Pharaoh’s presence and traveled throughout Egypt”
– Genesis 41: 46 (NIV)
“Joseph stayed in Egypt, along with all his father’s family. He lived a hundred and ten years.”
– Genesis 50:22 (NIV)
To me one of the most amazing and unforgettable scriptures that make me super-excited is Genesis 50:26 – “Joseph died at the age of 110 years”
My God! Joseph became prime minister of Egypt at 30 and he reigned for 80 YEARS! Wow!
This same man was sold into slavery by his siblings as a teenager, he was in prison for at least 5 years but he spent the next 80 years of his life in splendor, royalty, abundance, and comfort.
Beloved, look beyond the present challenges! Your future is bright! Your best days are ahead of you; don’t jump out of Christ’s moving train because of pressure. Don’t commit spiritual or physical suicide.
Paul wrote “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18)
The writer of Hebrews while critically reviewing the life of Jesus stated “…For the joy set before him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2)
Take life in its stride; love God and do what the bible says and you will rise to the top forever.
Never ever forget that your future self is not like your present self. Those challenges shall pass and the real you will emerge.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2-4
In Jesus Name I declare I forget the things behind and look forward to the future. I set my gaze on the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus. I have a growth mindset unto maturity in faith. My future is bright and better than my past, and I will get there. Dear Holy Spirit, strengthen me every step of the way I pray. Amen.
